Janitza Class A power quality analyzer.

Janitza UMG 512-PRO – for power quality monitoring in accordance with EN 50160, IEEE519, or EN 61000-2-4 standards.

Main advantages

Class A measuring device

Class A measuring devices are certified according to IEC 61000-4-30.
This standard defines precise parameters for network analysis so that measurement results can be proven in case of disputes.
It specifies required parameters, measuring methods, accuracy, and bandwidth — allowing results to be easily reproduced and compared.

Power quality

Modern industry requires reliable operation and high-quality power supply.
UMG devices can reliably record, analyze, and document all disturbances such as:

  • harmonics

  • imbalance

  • interruptions

  • voltage dips

  • voltage fluctuations

  • flicker

  • phase shifts

  • reactive power

RCM

Reliable RCM (Residual Current Monitoring) detects leakage current sources at early stages, before they cause equipment failure or even fires.
RCM is already integrated in certain UMG measuring devices.
If needed, suitable current transformers can be installed later.
Continuous RCM monitoring significantly increases system safety and availability.
In special applications such as data centers, residual current monitoring is essential due to strict availability requirements.

Web interface

The integrated web server provides extensive data in a user-friendly format.
No software installation is required — a standard internet browser is enough.
The user enters the device's IP address and the home page appears.
In addition to the modern web interface, additional software with an extended set of functions is available.

Ethernet-Modbus Gateway

The Ethernet Modbus gateway allows easy integration of Modbus RTU devices connected to the main device as slaves in an Ethernet system.
This also works with devices that have compatible file formats and function codes.

BACnet

BACnet is one of the most important communication standards in building technology because it is compatible with a wide variety of hardware from different manufacturers.
Once the UMG measuring device receives its BACnet ID and is integrated into the network, the system recognizes it and displays it in the browser — making configuration simple.

Applications

  • Continuous power quality monitoring

  • Harmonic analysis when power quality problems occur

  • Internal network testing according to EN 61000-4-7, EN 61000-4-15, EN 61000-4-30
